There are, without a shadow of a doubt, many reasons that have motivated me to devote some internet space to a Sakura shrine, and even if I named a handful of them, I'd probably leave many out.

However, I think I should outline a few of the main reasons behind this site, because I also believe they are somewhat of a "Social Contract" of sorts.

In the first place, I obviously like Sakura a lot. I admire him as a musician and as a person. I have many reasons to admire him and hopefully in this site you'll find many reasons to boost your admiration chips for him as well.

In the second place, because there aren't many English-language sites stating correct, accurate and truthful information about him around. For this reason there is a void of data pertaining his persona as far as the western fandom is concerned. A pity.

In the third place, because I'm sick and tired of finding site after site, page after page, fan after fan, bashing him, calling him names, criticizing him in a malicious way and spreading inaccurate information about him. All of this done is regularly done by people who don't have the faintest idea of drumming, let alone music; or even the faintest idea of what Sakura is like. Sadly too, in most cases these people have obtained their holy information through nothing more and nothing less than FANFICTION. Ha.

I'm so absolutely tired of reading and hearing people blame Sakura for everything that's wrong in the world, I feel the man deserves a little corner for himself and if I have to be the one to make it, then I'll do it.
So, in order to counteract pages made by twelve-year-olds who barely know what a drumset is like (yet they feel free to give opinions on his drumming), or those made by children who write about his personality without having ever bothered to find out about it; I will hereby and from now on enlighten those who have a honest curiosity about this great musician, very talented person and very nice guy.

This site aims to show the misinformed all these facts, since sadly, many JRock (mostly L'Arc~en~Ciel driven) fans don't know anything about him (and even so some of them dare to bash him... go figure...) and what's the saddest, people who actually like Sakura, don't know much about him either.

I find it so sad that many fans want to erase Sakura's presence from Japanese music history that I've decided to force his presence upon the net.

So, all in all... I'll have my little Sakura tribute thingie here, where I'll put anything I freaking want to about him. And as opposed to the largest part of sites (who are openly devoted to bashing him) I'll take him to the Olympus of Music Gods.
